How to do the ritual Typically a caster will write down their intent on a piece of paper the same colour as the candle and burn the paper in a fire safe bowl. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Do not burn for longer than 30 minutes at a time and never allow the candle to burn all the way down to the base. All of our spell candles are solid colour all the way through (not dipped).
