Misses 6-20 (Small - XLarge); Men's 32-44. Patterns and sewing instructions are included for three versatile and comfortable garments – the Hippari, sized for men and women; Monpei, or field pants, for women; and Padded Jacket for women.  All are constructed in the time-honored way. The Hippari is a hip-length jacket that overlaps in front and ties at the side.  Its front opening is finished with a neckband. Two different elbow-length sleeves are given:  for women, a rectangular sleeve with small traditional openings under the arms in both sleeve and body; for men, sleeves are tapered, with no underarm opening. The calf-length Field Pants have pleats at the waist below back and front waistbands that wrap and tie.
