What is Cypriol Essential Oil? (Nagarmotha) Cyperus Scariosus, also known as Cypriol, is a native of New Guinea and Australia. It is popularly known as Nagarmotha in India and has grown widely in Madhya Pradesh. It has a woody and earthy aroma. 1n 1810, botanist Robert Brown formally discovered it as a Species. Cypriol has a light yellow to light brown appearance. Cypriol Essential Oil is extracted from the roots of Cyperus Scariosus. The extraction of Nagarmotha oil is made using steam distillation. This flowering shrub grows about two and a half meters tall with a thin stem. The nodes of the tree are in the shape of oval rhizomes. The rhizome generates the oil. It incorporates calcium, alkaloids, carbonates, sodium, and other minerals. Extraction of Cypriol Essential Oil Cypriol Essential Oil is extracted using steam distillation. The roots of the plant are dried for oil extraction in the steam distillation method. The flowers are also used for oil extraction. The Cypriol oil's quality varies according to climatic conditions, geographical sources, and harvesting conditions. Suppose there is no standard oil extraction quality; it results in a faint aroma and dull visibility. The dried roots and flowers are placed in the vat, and streams are passed through it. The solvents hexane and ethanol are added to extract this Cypriol essential oil. It is the most common method. Extracting oil through various methods does not fade the quality. It always remains the same. The quality is determined by the type of mature roots and flowers that are used for extraction. Contemporary uses of Cypriol Essential oil Cypriol essential oil is also known as Nagarmotha essential oil in the Indian region. They are grown largely in Madhya Pradesh, Australia, and New Guinea. Historians mainly used it to treat indigestion and diarrhea. They also help blood circulation and regulate the menstrual cycle and other menstrual disorders. In India, they are used in incense and perfumes. The famous brand Xeryus is also made with Cypriol essences.
