Moldavite is a very high energy form of tectite, formed by a meteor crash. This blend approximates the extraterrestrial, cosmic powers of this stone. A Moldavite crystal energizes the master bottle of this oil. There is another very popular Moldavite oil on the metaphysical market, which I love and use as a personal perfume. It is an amber blend, and uses synthetic ingredients. To me it does not smell like the mineral Moldovite's energy. Naturally, for Natural Magick, I wanted something that used only true essential oils. I wanted it to smell highly energetic, since the impact of a meteor is a very high energy event, so Fire elemental ingredients were in order. Also, since Moldavite is a form of glass, Water elements had to be present. Both Sun and Mercury influence as planetary rulers. Finally, it had to be the same dreamy, glassy green color as the Moldavite mineral. For this I use true Blue Tansy essential oil, which I use for many of my night-time/alien/deep space/deep sleep blends. It gives a bright, strange, mysterious, and liquid smell to Moldavite oil. Moldavite is used to energize the spirit and commune with Universal principles. Of all the extraterrestrial-influenced minerals, it has the gentlest energies, so it is friendlier for us Earth born sorts of practitioners.
