Banarasi sarees are considered the luxury South Asian textile. From the rich gold brocade (zari) to the silk fabric, this textile displays opulence and is often worn during weddings and other formal occasions. For this design I tried to capture the gold floral embroidery using gold miyuki beads, matte orangey-red beads to match the silk texture of banarasi, and finally twisted bugle beads in the fringe to represent a zari border.
