Be kind. Such a simple concept. And as a parent, I doubt a day goes by I don’t talk about it.  It’s what you want your kids to be.  It’s what we want the world to be. I like to assume everyone is kind.  I give everyone the benefit of the doubt.  I assume you are kind until you prove yourself otherwise. And even then I will try to understand. And reply with kindness.   Because Kindness is my go-to. But… Fuck Off is my wingman. Take advantage of me again. Fuck Off. Treat my loved ones badly. Fuck Off. Disrespect my family, my people. Fuck Off. Discriminate against members of my community. Fuck Off Donald Trump. Fuck Off. Just because I want myself, my children, and the world to be kind, doesn’t mean I’ll let bad people step all over me. And you shouldn’t let them either. Kindness Is My Go-To, But Fuck Off Is My Wingman.
