Millet hulls are as supple as soft sand and practically silent when moved. They mold with yielding, flowing flexibility. The always loose and pleasantly tempered fillings easily absorb moisture and warmth and release them just as easily. For speltex® millet hull fillings, the highest quality raw materials from gentle hulling are further processed with natural rubber. The sap of the rubber tree penetrates the grain hulls, similar to oil for solid wood furniture. This does not result in a sealing of the surfaces. The approximately 5% rubber content significantly increases the durability of the ultra-fine hulls and extends their lifespan several times over. They are dust-free and resistant to fine abrasion.
