Bookmarks are double-sided and ship out in a protective sleeve for shipping and use. These sleeves can be easily removed. Disclosure: Shimmer Bookmarks, do shimmer in certain types of light. I recommend sunlight for the best effect. Some bookmarks will shimmer more than others due to the color but the effect will still be noticeable, just on some parts more than others.
