I work with trustworthy suppliers who provide work to hundreds of women in the mountain areas. And I bid with the local merchants on the criée berbère of the carpet souks in the heart of Marrakech, skipping most intermediate channels! MAINTENANCE ADVICE Each rug is hand washed and (if necessary) repaired in Morocco before being shipped to Belgium. Any restorations were done by hand by skilled artisans in the traditional methods and with materials to best suit its origins. Rugs should be vacuumed regularly, and occasionally hung outside in the sunshine and fresh air to freshen them up and get rid of any loose dirt. We recommend only ever using mild soapy water to spot clean your carpet. Chemical cleaners and vintage textiles are definitely not friends - so keep cleaning simple and to the basics.
