Everyone, at some point in their life, should ask themselves this question. What am I doing that really matters? I was working in the fashion industry, trying to ignore the damage I was doing to our planet. The day came when I just couldn't live with it any longer. I emptied my desk, and I ran. I had convinced myself that I would be happier if I travelled. Before long, I discovered I wasn't running away from the problem; I was actually running into it. Everywhere, even to the most remote places, there was rubbish. The world was drowning in a sea of man-made garbage. In the outback, a road train passed, and I wondered how many kilometres those tarps had clocked, shielding its cargo from the elements, adventures that I could only contemplate. Then it struck me that I was staring at the door of infinite possibilities. Rather than running away from the problem, I could now see how I could be a part of the solution. Those tarpaulins could live again and be turned into a fashion kit & into road gear. The solution became so black-and-white that it became Afroblonde. I invite you to become part of the solution.
