About Pituka Wear

I am Inês Ferreira, founder of Pituka Wear. In 2014, my daughter Vera was born, and with her, a new phase of my life. At that time, I was still adjusting to an unexpected change: I had lost my job as a civil engineer due to the economic crisis. It was a difficult moment, but motherhood brought me a new perspective and a strength I didn't know I had. We called Vera "Pituka," an affectionate nickname that reflected her cheerful and lively personality. When it came time to choose her first shoes, I realized how difficult it was to find something truly good: they were either too expensive or lacked quality. That's when the idea was born. If I felt this difficulty, many other mothers must feel the same. I decided to research and look for alternatives, starting with handcrafted leather shoes. Over time, we began to have our own production and exclusive Pituka Wear models, designed with great care to offer the highest quality for little ones. Today, Pituka is much more than a store. It is the reflection of years of work, passion, and learning. After the birth of Pituka Wear, we evolved into something bigger: a reference in barefoot-friendly footwear, with models that truly care for the feet.
