About San Jamón

Our story begins in Villalpando, a small Castilian town in the province of Zamora. There, for more than a century, the Cepeda family has worked in the field and cared for the best Iberian pigs with the dedication of those who do what they love. Over time, dedication and family effort gained fame and attracted the best chacineros from Guijuelo and Extremadura; a small family farm, which controls the whole process and whose pigs, montanera after montanera, offer hams and shoulders with an unparalleled taste. This is when San Jamón was born: a new generation of the Cepeda family decided that, in order to continue growing, we had to go one step further and offer the best of our land to the most exquisite palates. The Internet would be the way, our little breeding farm, the starting point. And the fate was clear: to achieve, with perseverance and tenacity, to create an online store from scratch, to be pioneers in e-commerce and to convince their own family that the future was about creating a unique experience, just as they dreamed, even if many thought it was impossible. Now, more than 10 years later, San Jamón has become a great team dedicated not only, as then, to making the best Iberian hams and shoulders, but also offering you unique products that, respecting the Spanish gastronomic tradition, allow us to create a different way of savoring the world: the San Jamón Experience.
