Hi, I’m Sarah, the founder of Zikini Australia and the creator of Little Ray Mineral Sunscreen, a gentle yet powerful sun protection for babies and kids. As a redhead with a Fitzpatrick skin type I and a lifelong collection of freckles, I’ve lived through the countless sunburns under the harsh Australian sun. As a mum of two, I’ve made it my mission to ensure my children don’t suffer the same fate. But it wasn’t easy. When my first baby started having bad skin reactions to mainstream sunscreens, I realized the options available weren’t good enough. We tried dozens of mineral and “sensitive” sunscreens. Some were too thick. Others left greasy residue. Many claimed to be gentle, but hid harsh chemicals that irritated our skin. I was deeply frustrated and concerned. So I asked myself the question that started it all: Why isn’t there an outstanding zinc-based mineral sunscreen designed specifically for babies and kids?
