About Sand and Fire Designs

Sand and Fire was born as an act of love, and as a way to invite you to connect with nature. My name is Elena, the woman behind the brand, and I handcraft high-quality jewelry and homewares inspired by the Australian landscape as a way to pay homage to this beautiful land that holds us. I work with upcycled sea glass that I collect from my local beaches, helping to keep the ocean cleaner, and with ceramics, handbuilt or wheel-thrown in my home studio. My jewelry and homewares have a very strong connection to the land and they speak of a story we sometimes forget. They call us to rediscover the beauty of the ocean, the coastal rocks, the sand, and trees, or the fire lit under the stars. They ask us to tune in to the song of the whales and to learn and know the flight of the cockatoos, and the hops of the roos. I slowly make everything with intention, and I believe these perfectly imperfect objects have a way to store that positive energy and bring that with them as they reach your home or that of a loved one.Read their story
