About JL Woodworking

Justin's started woodworking in 2002 in middle school, and was lucky enough to learn under teachers and mentors who transferred their passion and workmanship. He was able to hone his woodworking skills throughout high school (crafting dressers, night stands, and guitar cases), and in some spare time at college as he studied to be an engineer (wooden surf board). With a full time job, woodworking took a bit of a back seat. When Justin and Lauren met in 2015 they started to build small and simple projects that sparked Justin’s passion again. When they moved in together they started building furniture, and recycling pallet wood, old wooden ladders, 2x4's, etc. A friend introduced them to Etsy, and JL Woodworking was officially founded. After finding out Lauren was pregnant with their first child, they built the crib, changing station, and floating book shelves to complete the nursery m. With the baby’s arrival looming, they adjusted their offerings to smaller projects focused on Weddings, Family, Children, and one of their favorites - cocktails. That brings them to today!
