Mission At HIKARI, we connect a fast-moving world to the quiet beauty of Japanese tea. Through organic matcha, sustainable farming partnerships, and design-driven packaging, we offer moments of intention, presence, and light. Note from the Founder I grew up in the mountains of Kumamoto, Japan, where tea was a quiet act of love and presence. My mother, a Urasenke tea master, passed down the rituals of Chadō—lessons in intention and slow living. Now based in Los Angeles, I created HIKARI to bring the depth and beauty of Japanese tea culture to a modern, fast-paced world. We partner with organic, generational tea farmers in Japan to share exquisite matcha rooted in tradition. Hikari means light—an essence we pour into everything we do. Read their story
