About Radicool Australia

Radicool Australia was established in 1991 to address the increasing skin cancer rate in Australia and bring awareness of the need for appropriate sun protection. Two in three Australians will be diagnosed with skin cancer before the age of 70 and 80% of skin damage as an adult occurs prior to your teenage years. It was clear that more effective ways of protecting children and adults from overexposure to UV were necessary to reduce skin cancer rates. As a new father at the time I started designing hats that children could wear in the water and then later to wear in all outdoor play conditions. Adult hats followed shortly afterwards. Radicool Australia also specialise in the highest SPF/UPF comprehensive, sun protection swimwear available worldwide. As a family run company our aim is to keep our range affordable, whilst also creating high quality garments so that every customer has the opportunity to build a safer future for themselves and their loved ones.
