About Veerle Tytgat

Veerle Tytgat is a designer, focusing on interior textiles. She searches a common ground between fascinating and artisanal techniques, contemporary styles and pure or recycled materials. Her work includes (but is not limited to) industrial knitting. dyeing and caning. The end result always honors four aspects: her creations are sustainably produced and built for the long term; they please the contemporary eye and wink at the traditions they are indebted to. She presents her pillowcollection ‘multiple choice’. This collection was born from spontaneous experiments with knitted textures and color, together with a research for a sustainable production. The Multiple Choice pillows comes in a variety of melange colors, from green to rust to deep blue. creating subtle, warm patterns. The voluminous knitted fabric offers extra softness to the pillow. The collection is ecological and sustainable: the pillows are made made Belgian recycled denim yarns. Deadstock yarns from the knitting manufacturer are used to get the padded structure.. The removable filling cushion consists even of recycled down feathers. The collection is Belgian: the entire production, from knitting to assembly, takes place in a Belgian company.
