About Once upon a Dandelion

We are Philip and Lisa, designing and screen printing in our studio at the foot of The Mournes in Newcastle, County Down. Lisa’s long love of typography, hand lettering and colour, the mountains, the sea and all of the beautiful local forests feature heavily in her colourful designs. Using traditional screen printing methods, we hand print these designs on cards and paper using our own colour mixed palette. We are both committed to minimising our environmental footprint and have chosen what we believe to be the most sustainable, quality materials for your products. The paper used for our art is wood free, acid free and vegan, as well as renowned for print making. Our cards and envelopes are both recycled and all packaging for our prints and cards is plastic free, compostable and biodegradable. All packaging used for your deliveries is also plastic free, the cardboard and tape are recyclable and the packing pellets are biodegradable, compostable and water soluble. Solar panels provide most of our electric during daylight hours and we now have our own exposure equipment that reduces milage in the production of our products.Read their story
