About Annie Davidson

Annie is a Melbourne-based illustrator whose drawings are naïve, quirky, colourful and filled with meticulous patterns and fine touches of detail. She divides her time between creating original artworks for prints and working on freelance projects for international illustration agency 'Illustration X'. Her illustrations have appeared in galleries, on airport walls, across public transport, wall-paper, shop windows, textiles, kid’s picture books, packaging & more for various clients such as Jetstar, Lonely Planet, Converse, Medibank, Chanel 9 and The Royal Botanic Gardens. Annie has been described as an 'Escape Artist' as she often draws little imaginary worlds you can almost picture yourself stepping into. Terrariums, bonsai, lush garden worlds and cacti are largely featured in these detailed & vibrantly coloured works. Inspirations include Japanese woodblock prints, old botanical sketches, quirky kids picture books, exploring new travel destinations and of course nature - especially forests, tropical jungles, coral reefs and Japanese landscapes.  Prints are limited editions of 50 only, each is hand signed & numbered. All come unframed and have been professionally printed. Everything is designed, printed & packaged in Australia.
