About 13th Press

13th Press is an independent publishing studio founded by Ontario-based artist Amrit Brar. The press began in 2016 with the self-published Shitty Horoscopes zine series, and expanded in 2018 with the release of The Marigold Tarot. In 2020, Amrit formally established 13th Press as a small, women- and family-run publishing company. The Mirror Oracle, a companion deck to The Marigold Tarot, followed in Winter 2023. Today, 13th Press specializes in tarot decks, tarot accessories, textiles, altar décor, zines, books, patches, pins, and thoughtfully designed lifestyle goods. Our work is rooted in themes of growth, decay, reflection, and transformation, with each release contributing to a larger, evolving creative vision.
