About Deshabille

The French word Deshabillé (pronounced dez-ha-bee-ay) means “to be partially or casually dressed” or “to undress”. With this perfectly fitting name found in a thesaurus, pregnant with my son & not ready to part with my fashion career.... in 2005 Deshabillé was born. A range of sexy, sophisticated and flattering sleepwear, loungewear and beachwear that can be worn at home or beyond. Having worked in the fashion industry for more than 15 years at the time, I saw that there was a gap in the market and an opportunity for beautiful yet practical sleepwear. Inspired by working with some incredible artists as the womenswear designer at Mambo, I started the brand with a strong focus on beautiful, feminine, sophisticated prints on really luxurious fabrics with special finishes & details. Evolving with consumer demands for classic yet comfortable styles the range has transitioned from prints to beautiful solid colours & stripes in high quality soft fabrics like stretch modal & bamboo jersey. My dream was to create garments that made women look & feel special at home & confident enough to wear beyond the front door.
