About FABICO Coffee

FABICO Coffee specializes in compostable coffee capsules, which consist mostly of corn starch and bagasse (sugar residues) and are compatible with all common Nespresso* machines. The coffee capsules can simply be completely disposed of via the residual waste bin after consumption and preparation in the coffee machine. As a 100% natural product, both palm leaves and bagasse do not contain any substances that could cause damage to the environment. Thanks to their biodegradability (certified according to EN-13432 or US ASTM), the products decompose relatively quickly (within 90-160 days, wherever there is enough bacteria) and become soil, which in turn is used as a breeding ground or fertilizer for new plants. The coffee capsules also have a special advantage as they are aroma protected by a patented cover. This means that as long as the cover (palm leaf and bagasse — the patent) is not damaged arbitrarily, the capsule can still be enjoyed with its full flavour for more than two years. Read their story
