About HODOmask

HODOmask is the result of a long journey of research and development that led to the creation of an innovative material capable of replacing the well-known meltblown non-woven fabric (TNT) used in common surgical and FFP (1,2,3) masks for particulate filtration. Unfortunately, meltblown TNT suffers from electrostatic decay when exposed to humid environments. This is the reason why traditional masks are single-use, degrading upon contact with the moisture present in breath. HODOmask was born from the heart of the fabric that composes it; the PTFE nano-porous membrane (Hyproof®) does not undergo alterations when in contact with moisture and can therefore undergo repeated use cycles and be sanitized. The same fabric is capable of filtering up to 96% of particles down to 0.3μm, exceeding the performance of meltblown.
