My name is Paola Brunello, I was born in Milan in the month of May. I graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts and after 13 years of working in theater as a costume designer and set designer, I created ROSSO CUORE, a space where my passions converge: theater, art history, design, and a love for materials, shapes, and colors. Since 2015, I have been designing and creating jewelry that tells stories. 'Nellie Around The World' by ROSSO CUORE is a project inspired by a real woman, the American journalist Nellie Bly, a true pioneer of investigative journalism and a great example of female emancipation at the end of the 19th century, but above all, the first woman to travel around the world in 72 days in 1888. With ROSSO CUORE, I participate in the most important industry fairs in Milan, Paris, London, Osaka, and my jewelry is distributed worldwide in design stores, fashion accessories, clothing, artistic perfumeries, concept stores, and museum bookshops. The 'Nellie Around The World' collections by ROSSO CUORE, in their various forms, are entirely handmade with Italian resins and thus tell stories of travel, women, courage, and freedom, each being a combination of shapes, colors, and design following my inspirations. My narrative jewelry, therefore, is created to tell a story inspired by a woman, told by a woman, and for all women, and it is nice to know that those who choose them will tell the story of Nellie Bly, mine, and their own story.
