About Kaliko

Kaliko is a line of handcrafted textiles made with care, founded in 2016 by Ania Grzeszek. At Kaliko, we use ecological dyes to dye our certified and local fibers. In our Berlin studio kitchen, we dye by hand using natural plant pigments. For our line of bags, we work with a regional dyery using low-impact GOTS-certified synthetic dyes in a customized process. Due to the nature of our dyeing and printing process, all pieces are unique - each one slightly different from the other, yet all equally beautiful. Our mission is to offer sustainable products that respect the planet and its people. We work with female freelancers and local businesses who support us in production.Read their story
