About Cates Concepts

We started Cate’s concepts in May of 2018 after I was laid off from a coding job. We needed money coming so I started to go to farmers’ markets. Within three months of selling jewelry, we got asked to wholesale to our first store. We started attending larger shows increased our inventory and business to making holiday ornaments and earrings for school fundraisers. All of our earrings are made from recycled or reclaimed wood. Each is lightweight hypoallergenic and nickel free. We hand paint our jewelry and ornaments. At our first farmers market, we got requests for designs. That is when we started our policy that if you have a design you want that we don’t have we will give you two for the price of one if we can resell the design. This is how we crowdsource our designs. At least 60% of the designs we have are design ideas from our costumers. Read their story
