Nembe [Nem-Bay] coming from the Mayan dialect K'iche [Key-Chay] meaning travel, was born from an infatuation of the infinitely beautiful materials and textiles that Central America has to offer. Nembe provides customers with unique pieces that carry a story. We offer completely one-of-a-kind accessories that allow our clientele to stand out from the rest, and for those that want to shop ethically. Our jewellery is handcrafted with inspiration drawn from cultures around the world, providing our customers with ‘wearable art’. Our leather range allows customers to connect with maker on a personal level, so the buyer understands more about the product and its origins. Metal jewellery is fabricated from wire bought here in Australia and minerals from various suppliers around the world. Wire is manipulated, shaped, and hammered by hand to create forms and every other aspect of the piece. Minimal soldering is required for joins. Leather wallets are made by our artisan partner in Nicaragua. All materials are sourced from the region and leather is cut and stitched completely by hand, embellished with minerals and textiles.
