We used to run a sweetshop on the internet. We were pretty good at retailing other people’s products – we even had an exclusive agreement those guys who do the cool adverts – you know the ones. For a long time, we ignored the chemical colourants, the single use packaging, gluten, dairy, fillers, laboratory made preservatives and half empty jars and everything else that comes with the multinational mass market confectionary business. Then one day we couldn’t! So, we started looking for product ranges that didn’t have chemicals in, that used sustainable packaging (filled to the brim), that catered for all types of people and didn’t cost the earth. Oh, and we wanted them to be cool, sophisticated, stylish and make great gifts, as well. We couldn’t find any! (Not with all the boxes ticked anyway). You see if you want it all this you must pay through the nose for Tangerine, Lime and Wasabi wine gums, that come in 50g pouches (single use) or 2lt glass jars (no, they are not sustainable). So, we took the plunge and produced our own brand that’s cool and stylish, sustainable, and cost effective. Everyone will recognise their favourite sweets (and flavours) in our range, but they use natural colours and flavours and cater for everyone. Read their story
