About Saltwell Design Studio

Saltwell Design Studio was founded in 2021 and is based in East London. The founder, Serina wanted to create key wardrobe staples comprised of evolved classics that are sustainably, ethically and locally made. Everything is cut and hand sewn in East London, with the majority made to order to reduce waste. Collections are always limited run and never mass produced. Her aim was to create a socially conscious brand, focused on handcrafted slow fashion. Producing pieces both stylish and multifunctional. That bring an element of joy, comfort and confidence, to wear season after season. With a commitment to making ethical fashion socially responsible, the studio also donates 5% of each sale to The Maternal Heath Project. A community project that provides a safe space with creative activites for new mothers, as well as advocating for Maternal Mental Health. We source 90% of our fabrics locally in the UK, some are vintage fabrics or designer end rolls and remnants to make really small limited batches. A small selection we source from around the world from small manufacturers. Saltwell is known for its unique fabric signature and style.
