About Mystifying Defense

Breyell Payne is a Portland based artist and designer with a background in apparel - Mystifying Defense was created from a desire to bring a much needed design element to the world of self defense accessories. As a woman who travelled alone quite often, she was discouraged by the lack of options and uniqueness when it came to keeping herself safe. Her goal is to continue to push the boundaries of what we know about safe & discreet defense accessories and to create safer space without compromise.Read their story
