Hello! I am Maria Beam, I am a Textile Engineer from the National University of San Marcos in Peru, researcher in natural dyeing, speaker at the GLAL XIII International Congress in Chile, representing Peru with a natural dyeing of wool from a symbiosis called Lichen, also speaker in the workshop “Hágalo Usted Mismo” in Cusco, where I spoke about the importance of applying good shearing practices to improve the quality of alpaca fiber, furthermore I have participated in a scientific research about natural fibers in Peru, mainly from the different types of alpacas. Currently I am dedicated to making Circle Tex a sustainable brand using natural fibers and educating people to know that by contributing to a sustainable textile industry we can take better care of the environment and safe the world. .
