Since the 15th century, citrus fruits have been cultivated on the steep hills around the picturesque coastal town of Menton. The special cultivation area makes the cultivation and harvest of the fruits a challenge and therefore all the more precious. Shortly before harvest in the winter months, Menton lemons develop a high content of sugar and essential oils, which makes them taste less sour, but all the sweeter and more intense, making them popular with gourmets worldwide. Since 2015, the "Citron de Menton" has carried the quality label "Indication Géographique Protégée" (Protected Geographical Indication). In our "Citron Menton Salt," you will find both the sweet powder of the dried fruit pulp and fine pieces of the bitter peel, both in organic quality.
