About Altromercato

Altromercato is the main fair trade organization in Italy and one of the biggest in the world. Since 1998, our social company has been developing, promoting and distributing fair trade and organic products. We work with over 150 partners in 45 countries, purchasing from them finished products, raw materials and handicraft products. Altrocato is made up of 99 partners, including cooperatives and associations. We believe in an economic partnership based on dialogue, transparency and respect. We maintain long-term relationships with all of our producer partners. We encourage projects to combat climate change, agricultural crops with low environmental impact, and biodiversity crops. We support food security projects for local communities and privilege projects born from the bottom up, shared from the beginning with the beneficiaries. Our goal is to create a market where people see their rights respected and where the planet is protected in its precious biodiversity. We don't change the traditional market. We turn it upside down.
