About Otherwise

Otherwise was born in 2017 in the warm weather of Lisbon. We wanted to combine unique and exclusive shirts with our biggest passion: textile art. One of our founders lived in India for two years and fell in love with its handcraft techniques and masterful craftsmen. Long story short, we're proud to showcase collections of pieces that are hand-printed, hand- woven, hand-embroidered or hand-dyed using ancient techniques such as blockprint, ikat, shibori or jamdani. Due to our belief in the slow art of making, we work exclusively with limited edition collections. We work closely with our small team in India under fair trade principles and we ensure that everyone is valued.Read their story
