About The Portland Stamp Company
For the love of stamps. We make stamps the old fashioned way — lick & stick, pinhole perforated poster stamps on dry-gum backed paper with a 100% foot-powered Rosback perforator. We also make wooden-handle rubber stamps that celebrate analog correspondence and a love of snail mail. Our aesthetic is historically rooted, but with a contemporary sensibility. Our printed stamps feature a variety of methods including risograph, letterpress, and digital. Poster Stamps, also know as ‘cinderellas’, look like postage stamps and were often used as advertising or promotion, but not valid as postage. They were popular in Europe before World War I. With The Portland Stamp Company we celebrate that tradition. All of our stamp art is created without the use of AI.
