About Aktimed

The founder of Aktimed, Sabine Kroker-Hohmann, managed her own physiotherapy practice with a focus on orthopedics, sports physiotherapy and paediatrics for 14 years before focusing on the development and marketing of Aktimed 2-in-1 products. She had many patients who used herbal extracts, such as arnica, in the form of beads or ointments in conjunction with physio tapes. These patients wanted a product that combined both: a physio tape with herbal extracts — 2 in 1 — comfortable and practical. This gave birth to the idea for Aktimed TAPE PLUS, the physio tapes with integrated plant extracts. After granting a patent, the products were developed, approved and brought to market maturity. The entire portfolio has been available since the end of 2016. After many years of career in a DAX group, husband Jens Kroker has been supporting business development with his commercial expertise since 2016. Jens Kroker is also an enthusiastic sailor, was able to win a gold medal and is a multiple World Champion. A steadily increasing number of specialist users (e.g. doctors, alternative practitioners and physiotherapists), professional and amateur athletes as well as other exercise-loving people of all ages are already using Aktimed products.Read their story
