My wife, Jamie, and I started Ornaments 4 Orphans out of our love for Christmas and our passion for helping others. We both love Christmas and Christmas ornaments! Our wedding was one week before Christmas. On our honeymoon, we drove out to the Michigan countryside, cut down our first Christmas tree and decorated it with our combined eclectic ornament collections. We love decorating our Christmas tree with memories old and new! We took our first trip to Uganda as college students. The poverty and lack of development struck us, as did the people who just wanted a chance to work and provide for their families. We came back to the states and started a non-profit to help a small orphanage and primary school. Out of that, Ornaments 4 Orphans® began. Ornaments 4 Orphans® is a missional social business and proud member of Chicago Fair Trade, dedicated to driving global impact through ethical commerce. We partner with artisans across East Africa, Peru, Nepal, and beyond to bring beautiful, handmade goods to the modern marketplace using strict fair trade principles.
