About Udo

At the Ecosign Academy for Design in Cologne, a semester project was announced with the task of developing a sustainable reusable cup for coffee-to-go. However, for the young student and future founder Carina Frings, the flaw was already in the task itself. Why develop a new cup when we all have cupboards full of mugs? This led to the idea of a reusable lid that allows you to turn your favorite mug from home into a to-go container: Udo, the universal reusable lid, was created and was named one of the best design works of the academy and awarded 1st place in the NRW Young Talent Award in 2017.Read their story
