Flora Fauna was born from three truths: 1.‘Clean’ skincare is murky. A drop of plant extract buried in a list of 30 ‘safe’ chemicals is not nourishing. It's just marketing. 2. Sunscreens are suspect. We’d rather skip chemical-laden, high-PUFA, sunflower oil-clad formulas that oxidize in the sunlight. 3. Crunchy doesn’t mean quality. We tried every apothecary brand—tallow, oils, serums, soaps. They’re great… until mold, oxidation, or degradation sets in due to amateur mixing and non-sterile processes. ‘Handmade’ isn’t a virtue at scale. Enter Flora Fauna—plants and animals, hypernatural, free from Big Skincare’s evils. Our lab-crafted formulas use biocompatible whole ingredients: grass-fed tallow, low-PUFA plant butters + oils, adaptogens, herbs, and extracts, with minimal, hormone-safe plant derivatives for stability and potency retention. To remedy the sunscreen dilemma, we made a tallow-based, anti-inflammatory alternative that’s effective, smells great, and is enjoyable to use. We nourish your skin, the body’s largest organ, in harmony with your natural rhythm. Established in 2023, it took us 2 years to develop and test these formulas.
