About Chopper Mill

Chopper Mill mittens are made with premium materials including 3M Thinsulate, a waterproof membrane, supple soft goat leather and cordura performance fabric. Each mitten is made with our special pre-curved finger area for dexterity and an extra long-cuff that fits perfectly over a winter coat sleeve. The BEST part of our mittens is the re/PAIR plan®, which provides a one-time free replacement mitten if one is lost-no questions asked! Additional single mittens are available for purchase after one lost mitten is replaced. Our children's mittens have a custom stamped leather patch attached with Velcro that can include the child's name, last name or initials. This allows the name patch to be removed once they have been outgrown and passed on to a friend or family member. Additional name patches are available for $10.00. Our adult mittens have the ability to have a name, company name or corporate logo embroidered on the cuff. Chopper Mill was founded in 2020 by Jill Kaufenberg in Stillwater, Minnesota and is a Women-Owned Business. She designed these mittens to keep her kids' hands warm and dry as they played and learned all day at their outdoor school. Chopper Mill donates 20% of all profits to the Chopper Mill Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization with the goal of donating thousands of mittens per year to community based shelters.Read their story
