About Sparkling Magnolia LLC

Hi, I am Windi - owner, designer, and creator! Never did I think that my life would lead me to owning a business. At a point in my life my injures that I received while serving in the USAF allowed the VA to declared me 100% disabled, however, I knew I couldn't sit and do nothing so I started making things for my 5 nieces and nephews, things just grew from there, people saw what I was making and began to ask me to make things for them. Then one of my friends said you should sell this stuff on Etsy, and so Dixie Designs was born. Why Dixie Designs you ask, Dixie was my service dog (yes was I just recently lost her and she will forever live on in each creation I make). So to me, it made sense to name my business after her when she would with me all the time. The only place she was not allowed was in my office and she would sit by my door waiting for me to finish working every day. Then one day my shop changed directions to making beautiful glitter tumblers. While I LOVE the name Dixie Designs it never seemed to fit with the new direction of my business. So after a global pandemic happened in March of 2020 I fell behind on orders and realized I needed to close shop and reground my business. In that reground I realized that I wanted to change the name. After much thought Sparkling Magnolia was born. When Dixie was alive I remember her always laying beneath the magnolia tree so it still honors her and that means a lot to me.Read their story
