About Bangkok Bites

Bangkok Bites is a Thai-American, women- and AAPI-owned snack brand built on flavor, family, and a whole lot of determination. I’m Bella, the founder, and I grew up in a family that has been making plant-based food in Thailand for more than 30 years. Plant protein wasn’t a trend for us, it was simply our way of living. When I came to the U.S., I wanted to take that legacy further and create a snack brand that felt true to who we are: bold, flavorful, and rooted in culture. I launched my first version of the brand in early 2025… and I failed. The flavors were too safe. The story wasn’t clear. And I learned quickly that the American snack aisle doesn’t need another “healthy” product, it needs something memorable. So I went home, reworked everything, trusted my instincts, and rebuilt from scratch. In October 2025, I relaunched as Bangkok Bites — a fun, flavor-forward line of Thai-inspired plant protein snacks, including high-protein vegan jerky and low-sugar protein chips made from non-GMO soy. Real Thai dishes like Pad Thai, Tom Yum, Sriracha and Thai BBQ are now in snack form, with nutrition to match. Bangkok Bites is my version of the American dream: taking my family’s plant-based craft and turning it into something modern, joyful, and global. We’re still a tiny founder-led brand, doing everything by hand and heart, but we’re here to bring something new to independent shelve, a mix of culture, protein, and big flavor that customers instantly get excited about.Read their story
