About LES ALCYONIDES

After a few years spent as an expatriate in London, working in particular in the fashion industry, I was confronted “on the ground” with its harsh reality: fast-fashion, overproduction, excessive consumption of water and pesticides... No longer in line with the values of the company I worked for, I wanted to create clothes that were part of the solution and not part of the problem! From there was born Les Alcyonides Swimwear at the end of 2020. I design all the models myself, wishing to reconcile eco-responsibility and aesthetics, the green jersey not boring! 50% of the plastic in 🌊 comes from fishing nets that are lost or thrown at sea. If nothing is done, in 2050 we will have more plastic in the sea than fish 🐠. By recovering these nets and giving them a second life ♻️ we participate in our -small- scale to clean them! We make it a point of honor to produce locally, in our workshops in Italy specialized in bathing and knitwear. The aim? Reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible 🌍 and highlight European know-how! Read their story
