About Ray Of Light

Alaina Pompa is the illustrator and artist behind Ray of Light. She grew up in the tundra of Wisconsin, migrated to the sandy beaches of Florida, and now lives on the edge of the prairie in Kansas. All of these spaces have informed her work with relatable themes of nature, humor, faith, connection, and an overall encouragement to slow down and stop taking everything so gosh darn seriously. Ray of Light, was launched in 2015 with a small line of scripture-based prints and, over time, has expanded to include greeting cards, stickers, and journals. Our original work is created by hand with paper and pencil, paint, and collage. Then the work is digitized and carefully converted into print format. Alaina demonstrates her care for the environment by printing all cards on FSC 100% recycled paper and utilizing eco-friendly packaging materials (when possible). When she's not working Alaina's probably taking a walk, exploring a puddle, digging a garden, talking to birds, reading a book, letting the dog out, letting the cat in, planning a trip, or making dinner. She currently lives in Wichita, KS with her hubby, three kiddos, and a very spoiled cat. Read their story
