Early this year I saw a goat running around our small town in Linden, NC. I had tried to catch him for over an hour but he is was scared and bleeding. He ended up getting stuck in a swamp in the woods. My son and I went in and saved him. He was never claimed and we decided to keep him. Goats need friends so I found a goat online that people didn't want because she had a deformed horn. So we picked her up. Then I took in a baby goat that his momma passed during delivery, he was my first bottle baby. From there our herd kept growing. We have taken sick goats, ones from slaughter auctions so they could live out a great life here, goats needing to be rehomed. Being a mom of two I didn't have disposable income so I needed to come up with a way to pay for feed and medicines for the goats. I started reading and joining groups and I finally took the plunge to make soap. I had no idea I would enjoy it so much. So I started selling it locally and then online and it just started taking off. All of the soaps are made with milk from our goats here on the farm. We post pictures and videos on our social media of the goats and people are truly invested in their lives and watching them grow. So every sale helps to take care of our goats and future goats needing a home. Thank you for taking the time to read about our journey.
