About Westmount Art UK
Westmount Art was founded by Luna Xue in 2023. Studied Illustration in Edinburgh College of Art, Luna focused on botanics as topic and explored various materials and art practices. Luna was inspired by her own gardening experience and grows almost every plant that she draws (except “Chai” and “Christmas”). As an illustrator, she is always looking for more innovative way to show her work. One day while gardening, she remembered that her childhood friends and she loves putting flowers on each other’s ears to pretend that they had big earrings when they were little girls. That is the beginning of the botanical collection. After Luna started making wearables for her botanical illustrations, she wanted to do something for museum arts as well, hoping to add a new option in both gifts and art souvenir category. Eventually, Luna started Westmount Art to make original illustrations and wearables. Since being founded in 2023, Westmount Art has been exhibiting in various cities including London, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen etc; and multiple events including Top Drawer London, Home and Gifts in Harrogate, Scotland’s Trade Fair, Royal Highland Show, Edinburgh's Christmas, the West End Fair, etc. Westmount Art has been covered and interviewed by Discover Britain on Sky TV and newspaper The Edinburgh Reporter and Edinburgh Evening News.
