About Ripples Greeting Cards

As a child, my family moved to different states. The people I loved were so far away, and greeting cards helped to bridge the distance. My craft is my little contribution, in gratitude for the work of card artists and writers who made my childhood brighter! Each design is drawn by hand in about 50-100 hours on double-sided matte film using pan pastels, colored pencils and a ceramic knife for whiskers and hairs. On the backside, I make up a poem to honor an ancestor or inspirational person in my life. For example, the card "Teamail" is for my Aunt Pat (1947 - 2021): "I brewed a pot of tea today, and mailed a cup to you, to make the miles melt away and have our tea for two." Cards are sustainably made on Forest Stewardship Certified papers at a carbon-neutral USA printer.
