The concept of Backcountry Medical Supplies was built after coming to the conclusion that most medical kits on the market are not purposefully stocked and tend to be useless when they are needed the most. I have taken the types of injuries we see get in the Emergency Department and strategically included items that those patients could have used in the backcountry. Especially in Montana where there are lots of areas with no cell service for miles, it is imperative to have the items needed to rescue yourself or your partner.
