About ito

ito is a Berlin based textile work project focusing on home decoration and accessories. It was founded in 2016 by Ayako Matsuo, who has been interested in the materials, fabrics and fiber in different cultures through traveling in several Asian countries. ito means 'string' in Japanese. Using yarns I meld my asian adventures into my own personal and sustainable, ethical design. All works are carefully handmade and self-designed in Berlin. Read their story
